ABOUT
Dr. Marlena Everett is the Founder & CEO of Ever-Wise LLC, an educational and personal development company dedicated to educating and encouraging people and institutions to explore important topics facing students and college campuses today. She is committed to cultivating and helping communities of learning tackle such relevant topics as: Having Courageous Conversations, Data Management and Performance, Student Conduct and Behavior, Title IX Education and Prevention, Veteran Student Persistence, Career Exploration, and Motivation and Resiliency to name a few. Dr. Everett has been featured as a speaker at The North Carolina Community College’s Systems Conference, North Carolina State University, Johnston Community College, and Wayne Community College.
She currently serves as the Director of Performance and Partnerships at the North Carolina Community College System Office. Marlena earned her Doctorate in Education from North Carolina State University and is the author of The Persistence of Military Veteran Students in a Southeastern Community College: A Narrative Study and co-author of Diversity and Inclusion in Social Media: A Case Study of Student Behavior. Marlena currently lives near Raleigh, North Carolina. When she’s not writing or speaking, you can find her traveling with her family or friends, enjoying live music, or catching up on her favorite shows on Netflix.
